Bärnbach offers countless cultural attractions. Renowned artists have left their mark here and made art and culture into an experience. Probably the most well-known is the Hundertwasser church St. Barbara with its coloured variety and the golden tower elements. Just 150 metres away, you will find the facade of the Neue Mittelschule [Austrian type of secondary school] designed by Zeppel-Sperl. And right next to this in the city park the Moses fountain is a colourful experience, designed by professor Ernst Fuchs. Another special highlight of the city is the Glass Museum. Here you can marvel at seasonal exhibitions on the topic of glass or browse through the shop and discover "glass treasures".
The Holy Mountain, essentially the local mountain of the Bärnbach residents, surprises with tranquillity and contemplation. The highlights of this spiritual place are a little church, the crucifixion group and also the monastery of the Carmelites. On the northern edge of the city of Bärnbach is the Alt-Kainach Castle, which puts every visitor on cultural traces with its heritage museum and seasonal exhibitions. Right behind this, it is possible to cool down in the Bärnbach Castle pool.
